Kirov returns to the war in 2026, and Karpov and Fedorov realize they have just visited an alternate Meridian—a world arising from Volkov’s intervention in the past. Unless they find a way to undermine that world, or reverse the death of Sergei Kirov, Volkov’s world could become the new Prime Meridian. Now the U.S. carriers mass for an Alpha Strike against Chinese positions in the Philippines, intending to suppress the key airfields and ports, and render that front useless to the enemy. The battle is joined over Luzon, where General Chen tries to defend Clark-Beiying and other vital bases from a massive US air campaign. At the same time, Admiral Cook launches a bold offensive into the Visayas aimed at Iloilo, Cebu, and Tacloban to secure new forward airfields for the USAF.
