In this latest installment of Saberhagen's Book of the Gods series, Theseus is sentenced to be sacrificed to the ancient gods. Deeply in love with him, Ariadne conspires to save Theseus from his fate, but doesn't count on Dionysus stepping in to complicate matters. Ariadne and Theseus must find their way through a maze of events that are as twisted as they are dangerous.
