Where have all the good men gone?

That's what Samantha Hathaway wonders when NYPD detective Adam Wexler shows up on her doorstep. The brash, bossy policeman is anything but her idea of a hero. Adam is none to happy either. The prospect of playing bodyguard to some spoiled, flaky actress is as appealing to him as the bullet wound that nearly killed him and jeopardized his career on the force.

But as the case heats up, so does the passion sizzling between them. Then the only thing more dangerous that the killer lurking near is the risk of falling in love.
