David Lee Stone was born in Margate in 1978, and started creating Illmoor at the age of 10. The first of the Illmoor Chronicles was published in 2003, and subsequent volumes have appeared every year since. In 2006, volumes 4 AND 5 will be published, with no.6 following in January, 2007. David lives in Ramsgate, Kent, with his fiance and a dog called Jake.
