In A Deeper Sleep, P.I. Kate Shugak has been working on a case for the Anchorage D.A. involving the murder of a woman by her husband. Louis Deem has been the subject of investigations before, and hes never been convicted. But Kate and state trooper Jim Chopin are convinced that this time hell be punished for his actions.
