This Christmas Jolie's mind is on celebrating. She just signed a contract to publish her first mystery novel, and she and her family are headed to Austin for the holidays. Between Christmas activities and spending time with her family, Jolie has promised to attend an anniversary party for her former employer, Rose Sterling Advertising. She's dreading it because of a sticky situation with an ex-lover, who also happens to be the owner's son-in-law, but she's determined to get through the evening - and maybe even enjoy herself. It seems possible that she'll survive the night - that is, until an employee turns up dead in the company bathroom during the party, and Jolie, once again in the wrong place at the wrong time, gets wrapped up in another case.
