Jolie Wyatt is comfortable in her new job as broadcaster at a local radio station, but things heat up quickly over the airwaves. She reports that an escaped prisoner and local boy has arrived back home in Purple Sage. The prisoner, young James Jorgenson, has a list of misdemeanors to his credit, but nothing as serious as the murder that's just been committed. And though James becomes the prime suspect, Jolie's own investigation teaches her that some murderers are good at keeping their crimes a secret.
