I really enjoy Stella Riley's books, so I spent some time hunting this one down in used bookstores and finally conceded defeat and bought it from Amazon. The plot is set in modern Turkey, and since it was published in 1986, it doesn't reflect the current political realities. It's hero also is a product of the genre at the time it was written, so his arrogance grates on this reader. That said, the writing style is pleasing, and the heroine is sufficently spirited that she takes up enough plot space to take the edge off the hero's high-handedness. Although it isn't my favorite book by this author, I'm glad I went to the trouble to get it for my library. If you can find it, it's worth a look.
