Chasing a possible thief through the perpetual downpour is not the ideal way to end your shift, but the night is made even worse when you are partnered by Steve Black, a colleague that none of the team can stomach. Yet Shaun Rourke's bad night is going to get a whole lot worse as he comes across the derelict house in the middle of open fields. For what he finds in the upstairs bedroom is the stuff of nightmares. An unknown woman has been slaughtered and suddenly the team are hunting a vicious killer, yet this is only the start of the horror as they discover that someone else had once been murdered in the house, in the same bedroom, fifty years earlier and the murderer was never caught.
But how can that be, how can the killer copy a murder that happened so long ago?
Within hours of finding the body a schoolgirl is snatched from the side of the road. As the rain continues to hammer down, Lasser desperately tries to unravel the past and the present before others die at the hands of a maniac intent on following his own links of death and destruction.
