This new anthology presented by the Private Eye Writers of America contains stories by many established writers, such as Sara Paretsky, Marcia Muller, and Nancy Pickard, as well as several newer authors. The book provides a good cross-section of the female private eye field today -- complicated, true-to-life characters living in the complex modern world. The stories are all well-written -- if you're looking for some new authors to try, this would be a good starting point.
