Ynys-morlan is a dying tourist resort on the west coast of Wales. When a mysterious rich American gives its inhabitants GBP33 million to reverse the village's decline, things necessarily change. But as the village makes a concerted attempt to smarten itself up, daily life continues to dole out its usual share of romance, trauma and heartache.
