Akaiya Lewis is the daughter of a self-made boss. When Antwan Lewis was put up for adoption by his Italian mother, his uncle stayed around so Antwan would know exactly who he was and where he came from. It was then that Antwan vowed to be bigger than the ones that wouldn’t accept him. Akaiya is spoiled but down to earth and humble. She’s ready to graduate high school and enter adulthood until a federal investigation and a few indictments change her plans. Along the way Akaiya finds out her father isn’t the man she thought he was and she’s sure things will never be the same.

Cairo Jordan lost his parents in a Murder-suicide. From the day he met Antwan he was being groomed. Antwan took a liking to the young man and passed him the torch. After Akaiya goes away and comes back, Cairo no longer sees her as the boss’s daughter. Akaiya is all grown up and they mesh well together. Until everyone begins to look at them as her parents reincarnated and the last thing Akaiya wants is a man like her father. Running away is the only option but how can she leave the man that she crushed on for years? This is only the introduction
