This exclusive book contains fully illustrated stories as published in "The Saturday Evening Post" in 1912, 1917, and 1919. Later on, in 1921, the stories were collected without illustrations in a book titled "More Tish" published by GEORGE H. DORAN COMPANY, NEW YORK. There is no readily available record of the stories having ever been reprinted with the original illustrations.Mary Roberts Rinehart was an American writer, often called the American Agatha Christie, and indeed the critics were always most appreciative of her murder mysteries. However, Rinehart also wrote a long series of humorous stories about Letitia (Tish) Carberry published in "The Saturday Evening Post" over a number of years. The stories were later collected in book form starting with "The Amazing Adventures of Letitia Carberry" published in 1911.The stories of this eBook, "The Cave on Thunder Cloud," "Tish Does Her Part," "Salvage" were originally illustrated by Martin Justice and May Wilson Preston, but collected in "More Tish" without any of the illustrations. Also, in the book, the second story was retitled "Tish Does Her Bit."
