A fight to the bitter end...

The feud between the Kerrys of Low Valley and the Fentons of Gringo Basin is like a simmering volcano that could erupt into violence at any moment.

But Lee Fenton, who works in a bank in town, is removed from the passions which moved his brothers - until the whole family is wiped out.

The sallow bank clerk finds himself forced to stay on the range and to study calibres instead of ledger figures. Will he be able to protect himself and seek the revenge he craves?
