Flaming Range

(1981)
A novel by

Treachery is best met with revenge...

Trouble seemed to be looming on the range, Tom Derry decided, but it wasn't affecting him because he was merely a small rancher trying to make a place for his future wife. But he got dragged into it through a personal angle, then discovered that he had been picked to take a murder rap.

Fortunately the frame-up failed and he joined the law in an attempt to straighten out the trouble. But the roots of envy and greed were deep in the heart of the community, and in the end it was gunsmoke and hot lead that settled the issue.
