Charlotte Roche's book Feuchtgebiete (in English Wetlands) was the world's best-selling novel in March 2008. Partly autobiographical, it explores cleanliness, sex, and femininity and had sold over 500,000 copies in Germany by the end of the first quarter of 2008.
