The Master of Rampling Gate was Anne Rice's first short story about Vampires. It was first released as a short story and was published in a compilation with other authors. This is the first release as a Graphic Novel and although there are graphic novels for the first three books in the Vampire Chronicles this predates them all. The jacket is by John Bolton who did many of the Vampire Graphic Novel original art and can be found in John Bolton's The Vampire Portfolio. This is also where Anne took the pseudonym "Rampling" from and used it to release Exit to Eden and Belinda.
