Two special agents for the Southwest Stage Company were sent to the area of Timorato, New Mexico, on the south desert, to watch for Mexican border-jumpers. What they found were both Mexicans and Americans smuggling guns below the border to supply a rebel Mexican army. Moving in to thwart them, they got caught and pinned down by Mexican guerillas and barely escaped with their lives.
