Kate Pepper was born in France to American parents, and still a baby, was brought to the United States, where Ms. Pepper grew up in both Massachsetts and New York. Kate Pepper was the in-between child of two other siblings, an older sister and a younger brother.

Ms. Pepper had a variety of jobs to support her writing career, working as a waitress, a secretary, a fundraiser, a temporary office clerk, etc. etc. etc. Somewhere in there Kate Pepper learned how humanity functioned, along with our various traits and personalities. Ms. Pepper found her true love along with writing when she began to teach it as well.

Kate Pepper lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband Oliver (a film editor who is the recipient of an Emmy award), and her two children, a boy and a girl.
