Jeff Pearce

Jeff Pearce is having a rather eclectic writing career. He's been a farm reporter without ever seeing a farm and has ghostwritten editorials for an Indian community newspaper. He once edited financial journals in the heart of the City and later wrote popular erotica novels under pseudonyms from a flat in Bethnal Green.

In 2005, he briefly taught journalism in Burma. In 2007, he wrote his stage play, Defenders of Gravity, which was inspired by the friendships of the famous science fiction writers in the 1950s; the work was chosen by a professional panel to inaugurate the Playwrights of Spring Festival in Toronto. In 2009, his book of investigative journalism, Gangs in Canada, prompted scores of interviews with media, and the work was adopted as a textbook for criminology courses at Kwantlen University and Douglas College in British Columbia. Meanwhile, his science fiction and fantasy works have earned critical praise from indie reviewers and a loyal following.
