Obituary for Howard Gray

Drake read the obituary for Howard Gray in the Daily Telegraph. It intrigued him because he had been very close to Gray many years ago; though they had lost touch later for reasons that were certainly not mentioned in the newspaper. Indeed, there was a great deal that had been left out, concerning those early years especially. And he felt he knew very well why. Because a lot had happened in those years that whoever had supplied the material for the obituary might have been more than reluctant to see in print. Drake wondered who that person might be, and he decided to pay a visit and try to solve the mystery. But nothing could have prepared him for what was to follow.
