And eventually she was sold into the aristocracy - to beautiful Lady Angela. But murmurings of war were in the air. As the days passed, more and more soldiers went off to the Front. The dreaded nightmare of the First World War had become a reality. Angela left to nurse the wounded and Princess was sold. Her new master was a gentle young officer, Augustine Appleyard, Together they fought their way through the battle-torn wastes of France and Belgium - until the tragic day Augustine was killed. Many experiences were in store for Princess but in the strangest of cirumstances she was to find happiness and security at last - with the young mistress she truly loved.
