About David Pownall
In 1976 David Pownall was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature for his linked novels The Raining Tree War and African Horse. In 2000 he was made an honorary Doctor of Letters by Keele University. David Pownall is married to the photographer Alex Pownall and has two sons.
