David is a three-time nominee for the Missouri Mark Twain Award for Deadly Drive, 2007-2008, Thin Wood Walls, 2006-2007, and Framed in Fire, 2001-2002. He is ranked as one of the top "Mystery Authors to Investigate" by the Irving (Texas) Public Library and was chosen as a "Favorite Author of Boy Books" by the ALA Association for Library Services to Children (ALSC).
