Julia has powers inherited from a tradition of good witches. But her abilities inadvertently reveal a vision of a young man killed in a hold-up. She later meets that young man, who happens to be her girlfriend's new beau! Julia falls for him, but it is an ill-fated love--he doesn't belong to her, and he is supposed to die. Julia uses her gifts to try and change future events, which may come at a terrible cost.
