Helen and Hannah spot a dog chasing rabbits in the nearby woods. Speckle chases the mongrel away but not in time to save a mother rabbit from dying, leaving a baby bunny the sole survivor, and in danger of attack. The twins know they shouldn't touch wildlife, but this baby might not last the night.
