About The Author
British author Edward Phillips Oppenheim (1866 - 1946) was an English writer of fiction including thrillers. He was born in Leicester, and worked in his father's business for a period. During the war he worked for the Ministry of Information and his later literary success allowed him the freedom buy a villa in France and a yacht.
