About Han Nolan
Han Nolan is a young adult writer from Alabama. She has successfully published seven young adult novels. Since her early childhood she has been fascinated with stories. Even as a little girl she would spin yarns for her friends. She did not always want to be a writer. For many years she focused her energies on becoming a dancer. After trying to maintain her sanity on a dancer's schedule for years, she went back to her first identity, that of a storyteller. Many of her novels feature a main character struggling to make it in an adult world. She was awarded the National Book Award in 1997 for her novel, Dancing on the Edge.

Han Nolan recommends
How It's Done (2006) Christine Kole MacLean "How It's Done is a richly woven tale of a young woman who discovers what it really means to be an adult. This story, told with honesty and heart, held me in my seat to the very end. I have discovered a new favorite writer in Christine MacLean." | The Other Side of Blue (2009) Valerie O Patterson "A story tender and true, and so beautifully written each word seems to shimmer." |
