Although Murdock and his organization have been defeated, things again become desperate for Gabrielle. This time, those closest to her are killed when the base where she is staying is sabotaged. The two people she feels are responsible assist her in getting away from the destruction, and she vows to kill them and whoever plotted the explosion.

Author Biography: Genevieve Neff is a native Texan who lives with her husband and small menagerie of pets that includes dogs, box turtles, and a hedgehog, in a rural subdivision not far from Houston. She has been writing for most of her life, beginning in sixth grade with a poem her teacher especially liked.
