It Adds Up to Trouble

(1972)
A novel by

Wayne Edwards had a lot of smart ideas. He wasn't going to spend the rest of his life working in a hick advertising agency, and twenty thousand pounds worth of diamonds would be the first step to the big time. Edwards had it all worked out, but from the time that Rupert Singer appeared on the scene one thing after another went wrong. Murder was the least of his problems, and Edwards found to his cost that twenty thousand pounds worth of trouble took a lot of handling.
