In the Northeast, September usually brings the first chilly kiss of autumn. But in Bastion Falls, September has delivered a freakish snowstorm. Marilyn, a young, pretty, and divorced resident of the town, is thrown into the blizzard's white fury when her old truck dies on the outskirts of town. In her struggle to reach safety, Marilyn becomes aware of more than snow in the blinding storm. Something evil penetrates the air. Something that will bring a terrifying fate to the people in Bastion Falls--particularly the ones with something to hide.
