Now, she was headed back to their hometown, the one they left ten years ago to get away from their families, the feud that pitted them against one another their whole childhoods. She simply hoped that her family would help her now, because her entire world was falling apart, and the one person she wanted most was the one that hurt her worst.

Brian didn’t know what happened. The note from Kaylee was the last thing he expected, wanted ever to find, especially after the day he’d had. All he wanted was to get home to his boys and Kaylee, get through a few more days before he had time off to spend with his family, unveil the surprise he’d been working on for months to make Kaylee happy. Now, she was gone, and he hoped he could find her fast. One transaction on their account had him heading home, praying that was where she’d gone, but when he finds her, he knows getting her to believe him isn’t going to be as simple as he hoped.

Kaylee’s heart breaks all over again when Brian finds them, insisting that nothing happened with his assistant, but she saw them with her own eyes and can’t begin to forgive him for destroying what she swore was heaven. But when he collapses in front of her and wakes with no memory of the last five years, their boys, what he did, she doesn’t know how she can walk away without it killing her. She wants to trust the way he looks at her, believe that she was wrong, but how can she when he doesn’t even know what happened?

When Brian remembers what led him to the hospital, he’s not about to let Kaylee push him away. He’ll make sure she believe him, knows he’d never betray her, no matter what it looked like. All he wanted was to surprise her with everything she could possibly want, and he’s going to do whatever he has to, to get them back as they were. To have the girl he’s loved his entire life believe him, in him, always.

With mild language, no cheating (I promise), and a HEA, Believe Me is approximately 46,000 words. It is intended for an adult audience and may include subjects that are sensitive to some readers.
