When the old Kendall house goes up for sale in New Kassel, Missouri, Torie OShea, mother of three and president of the historical society, decides to check it out and see if it would make a nice edition to the towns historical homes. The Kendall house has been a notorious address in town since three twenty-something siblings committed suicide there in the 1920s. One of the siblings, Glory, happened to be a famous quilter, and Torie immediately thinks of turning the Kendall house into a textile museum. But the more she learns about the house, the more she wants to know what happened to that tragic family. Her investigation draws her into some dark places, and then a present-day murder ups the ante. With the help of a local quilt appraiser, Torie must unravel exactly what happened to the three siblings, before anybody else in New Kassel turns up dead.
