Paul Mann is the award winning author of 10 books including the best selling 'Season Of The Monsoon,' featuring the Anglo-Indian detective, George Sansi. Other books in the series include 'The Ganja Coast' and 'The Burning Ghats.' Most recent works include 'The Leek Club' and The Witchs Code. He currently lives in Maine, two hours north of Boston, Mass.
Paul Mann was born in Morpeth, Northumberland and grew up in Bedlington, Northumberland during its coal mining heyday in the 1950's. He attended Westridge County Secondary Modern School and got his start in journalism at The Evening Chronicle in Newcastle as an editorial office boy at the age of 16. During his career as a newspaper reporter and magazine writer he traveled widely and lived in London, Montreal, New York, Vancouver, Toronto and Sydney, Australia where he wrote for several national magazines and was a founding writer of Australian Geographic. He is married with three grown-up daughters. He moved to the United States in 1990 where he has written for The New York Times Review of Books, Backpacker and Boston magazine. He also founded, published and edited The York Independent, a weekly newspaper in York, Maine. His latest books include 'The Witch's Code' about a witch detective with Salem P.D. who finds herself thrust into a battle between good and evil for the soul of her town. His novel 'The Leek Club' is a semi-autobiographical account of 'growing up Geordie in the 1950's. He is currently at work on a novella titled 'Sweet Kill,' the second in The Splatter Trilogy,' a black comedy about a hit man on the run.
