Don't Laugh at Fools

This novel opens in 1913 and continues through the First and Second World Wars. Sarah Torrent is 11, living in the North with her foreign inventor father and consumptive mother. The story follows Sarahs life as she grows up, falls in love, loses him to another and has a child. Mary Minton also wrote "Beggars Would Ride", "Yesterday's Road", "The Marriage Bowl" and "The Weeping Doves".
