About Magnus Mills
Magnus Mills' caught the limelight with his unlikely first success -- bus driver turned author whose first book is then short-listed for two prestigious British literary prizes (Booker, Whitbread). Magnus Mills went on to be a gardener, a postman and a White Van Man. Mills wasn't a literary one hit wonder, either. Four novels and two collections of short stories in six years have followed. Mills' workman-related fiction owes its success to his ability to capture that specific milieu so well.
