M. I. McAllister is the author of the Mistmantle Chronicles books (and many others).
She was born Margaret I. McAllister sometime during the year 1956. She grew up on the Northeastern coast of England, where, quite possibly, she could have received much of the inspiration for Mistmantle Isle. She now lives in Yorkshire.
