This is the story of a Pop Festival - not a sordid picture of what is saidto take place, but how the village and its inhabitants became involved. Whena tempting offer to let the grounds of a large estate is accepted, the ownerexpected no repercussions. But he was quite wrong. Each member of the familybecomes caught up by events. For the wife, it meant meeting Noel, her earlylove. For Melinda, the younger daughter being brought in to help theorganiser, a fly young man indeed. For the beautiful elder girl there wasonly heartbreak and disillusion, while her father surveyed the ruin of hisgrounds in sad bewilderment.
