Peter and the Picture Thief

Peter longed to be a radioannouncer or one of a team who interviewed people. He often borrowed books from the library on the subject, and one day he met Andrew Fanshawe and his dog Mr B, outside the library. When Peter cycles to Mr Fanshawe's house to take Mr B for a walk he finds the dog is ill, and his adventure begins when he is left alone to look after the house. Peter has an awkward interview with a police sergeant until he remembers the vital car registration number. and suddenly becomes a hero.
