Katherine originally trained as a teacher, and has worked as a writer in education for several years, for organisations including Tate Britain, the National Gallery, the City of London Festival and Creative Partnerships. More recently, she has begun to instigate and manage her own cultural projects.

Her short stories and poems have been widely published in anthologies and she reads regularly from her work. She lives in Whitstable, Kent with her husband and three cats.
