When the daughter of a Nigerian vampire family gets kidnapped by Boko Haram in a remote province in Northeastern Nigeria, Lawson is sent in to get her back. Teamed up with another Fixer he's never met, they soon delve into the seedy underworld of arm dealers, terrorism, and human trafficking - with one goal: get the girl back alive.

But nothing ever goes according to plan and Lawson has to adapt on the move to an ever-changing landscape, enemies everywhere he looks, and ferocious animals looking to make a meal out of him.

And just as things go from bad to worse, Lawson must also deal with a young girl who just might be harboring a terrifying secret all her own.
