Taking its inspiration and title from the famous Rembrandt painting depicting a 17th-century autopsy, The Anatomy Lesson follows Kiddo, a precocious American teenager, on a drug-distorted journey through the maze of modern Amsterdam, as he struggles to come to grips with the death of his brilliant older brother.
