Summer of Hope

(1973)
A novel by

Rachel had a special reason for taking the job as receptionist in the hairdressers at the end of the High Street. To Boyd Ingram, the hospital's beloved R.M.O., there were so many barriers to prevent him getting to know her. Barriers such as the mystery which surrounds the accident in which Rachel's family was killed, and the fact that people called her 'Mrs Roberts'. Where was the husband? How did Dr Thora Benton manage to make such a lovely person as Rachel seem sinister? It needed all Rachel's good nature and courage to break down the barriers.
