A novel by

East meets West when soap opera star Olivia Faraday heads to Bluebonnet Ranch in Texas for her latest role. Once there, she has to remind rancher Lucas Chance that it's just a role . . . until she decides to play the part for keeps.

When the wife of Lovers and Liars' new corporate sponsor decides the much-married heroine of the soap opera needs a lesson in morals and hard work, the new story line finds Olivia Faraday, the actress who plays her, on location at Bluebonnet Ranch in the Texas Hill Country. The ruggedly handsome owner, Lucas Chance, isn't happy about having a production crew disrupt the ranch, but the money and advertising he'll receive will support the Bluebonnet Foundation, which brings wayward urban boys to the ranch each summer. Olivia's time at the ranch is a disaster and only the threat of having her character written into a coma keeps her from leaving--that and the fact that she's falling for Luke. Unfortunately, he and the ranch are a package deal. Then Olivia is offered a way out--a fabulous role in a primetime show. It's what she's always wanted, but if she leaves Lovers and Liars, it will cost Luke his ranch. If she doesn't, it's the end of her career.
