Len Wallace is the custodian of a nature reserve on an island in the Outer Hebrides. When a camera crew arrive to survey the wildlife there, the locals are deeply alarmed and the presence of the outsiders eats away at the fragile community. Then a young girl is murdered and accusations fly.
