Craig Bellman is determined to live in an old mansion, Valhalla, that echoes with a terrible, agonized sobbing. His wife hires a spiritualist to rid Valhalla of its fearsome vibrations. But as death and injury return to the house, Craig becomes increasingly obsessed by the house, and becomes more of a stranger to his wife.
