Lady Serafina Trent, a young widow who is raising a young son with the help of her family, is outraged when an actress at a local playhouse ends up dead and her younger brother is the main suspect. It is true that he was infatuated with her, but fortunately for him, there are others who may have wanted the actress dead, and so begins the hunt to find the killer.
