Jess Ford is a foundling whose dream of becoming a cowboy is realized when he gets a job at the Lazy J. Ranch. In these five stories, he drives cattle on an epic journey to Stetson City, helps out his friend Sweet Rain and learns to hunt buffalo, and gets his own dog, Ghost.
