His former commanding officer, Colonel Trautman, the only man Rambo trust, is in trouble. On a mission meant for Rambo, he has been captured by Soviet troops on the Afghan border. When Colonel Trautman, out on patrol with the Afghani freedom-fighters, falls into Russian hands, Rambo is called in to find and fight for the man who trained him.
