Most Americans are unaware of it, but there's a super volcano brewing beneath the surface of Yellowstone National Park. The "Yellowstone Caldera," as scientists call it, is a real thing. It's what gives tourists the geysers and hot springs which have made the park famous. Now here's the scary part... the volcano has erupted before, and will erupt again. No one knows when, but it WILL happen. And when it happens it will destroy a sizeable part of the United States, including cities such as Denver and Salt Lake City. Further, there is no other American city which won't be affected in some manner. Those which aren't destroyed outright or damaged by falling debris and ash will be inundated by refugees in numbers never before seen in recorded history. Although scientists all agree it'll happen, no one knows for sure how it'll play out, and whether the United States will survive the eruption. Here, in "The Yellowstone Event," is a fictionalized account of a real event which hasn't happened yet... but which could happen at any time.
